Summary: The Lifeguard is responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of individuals at all times in aquatic environments. This role requires strong observation skills, quick decision-making abilities, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Lifeguard must maintain a professional and friendly demeanor while enforcing pool rules and providing excellent customer service. Responsibilities: Monitor pool areas to prevent accidents and maintain a safe environment. Supervise swimmers and enforce pool rules and regulations. Respond promptly and appropriately to any emergencies or incidents. Perform water rescues and administer first aid or CPR as necessary. Conduct regular inspections of pool equipment and report any issues. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns. Maintain accurate records of incidents, accidents, and pool usage. Assist in the setup and breakdown of pool equipment and facilities. Participate in ongoing training and certifications to stay updated on safety protocols. Qualifications: Valid Lifeguard certification from a recognized organization. Strong swimming skills and ability to perform water rescues. Knowledge of first aid, CPR, and emergency response procedures. Excellent observation and communication skills. Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations. Physical fitness and stamina to perform duties effectively. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays. Previous lifeguarding experience is preferred but not required.
